A friend offered to make me a Blog header and background. She has no idea how grateful I am! It is so absolutely gorgeous! I can't believe how creative and talented she is. I wish I knew how to do stuff like this. I think it would be so fun to do digital scrapbooking. Check out some of her cool things she's done here: http://skrapkittin.blogspot.com/

March Happenin's
The first week of March, we had our first big snow storm (and it wasn't much), but it sure was beautiful and fun to play in.
This is the street we live down on
Our backyard porch

Taylors favorite thing was eating the snow

And throwing snowballs (while the boys run off and then mommy has to run after them...)

And making a snow angel. She couldn't WAIT to do this!

This is Triston. He was stubborn and wouldn't put a beanie on nor gloves... so he got really cold

This is Trevor. He's got his beanie on and gloves and loved throwing the snow at Triston and Taylor

So, earlier you saw... the boys ran off and they ran over to the neighbors house and the lady tapped on her screen door and looked at me like, "what are you doing letting those boys in my yard?" I was embarrassed and wanted to smack her. How rude and impatient. Whatev, no more cookies from us.

The next morning it was super super warm and the snow melted FAST! Taylor of course enjoyed eating the icy snow :)

So every night, the boys cry when they go to sleep, so Tyson and I decided to that it's just easier to sit in the room and play games on our phones or facebook, text, check our emails and such on our phone until they fall asleep. They don't cry and it's usually only 20 minutes (usually). It was funny when Triston stole my phone and totally imitated me... immediately went to his room and sat against the pillow up against the wall with my phone :) Super cute

One morning, the boys were laughing a ton and when we went to get them out of their room, they walked out buck naked with their blankies :) They totally unzipped their sleep sacs and their pajama's and took off their diapers. We now know that it is a MUST to have onesies on under their pajama's
Above is how my family room looks every day. I sure can't wait to get a bigger house and have an actual "play room". And yes, the boys jump on Dad's head every day too :)
Poor Taylor got sick and threw up in the middle of the night. She looked awful and pale. Was taking a picture of her and then... she started picking her nose while she was watching TV :) It was quite entertaining :)

Trevor likes to curl up into a ball in his high chair

One day the kids were being so good playing in Taylors room. It is just makes my day when my kids all get along and enjoy one another, laughing, sharing and having fun

Our sweet friends, Laura Brown and daughter Cami gave Taylor their dollhouse. She was in love with it and had fun playing with Daddy :)

We brought Taylor's friend, Reagan Mills, with us to the Dinasour exhibit. The line was harendous, but they were troopers. It was fun learning about the different dinasours and it was pretty cool

One nice afternoon, we were out on a walk, when I stopped to chat with my neighbor. Before I knew it, the kids were in the mud (it rained the day before). It was too late, so I let them get as muddy as they wanted. In fact, it was Taylor that was the instigator... that little stinker :)

Here Triston slipped and fell in the mud. Instead of helping him up, of course mom takes a picture :) How mean :-I

Triston (green shirt) and Trevor (orange shirt)

Inistially Triston had a ton of fun rubbing the mud in his hair and face, but then he didn't like the feeling of being so dirty

This month, the boys have really turned a new leaf and get in sooo much trouble! They are breaking things, destroying anything they touch and laugh when I discipline them. When they are together, its not DOUBLE TROUBLE, its QUADRUPLE TROUBLE!!! NO JOKE!
They climb on everything and discovered my seasonings. I can never take my eyes off them because if I do, I'll have a disaster of a mess, so I'd rather monitor them than have a tornado come through my house. That might change later though
The boys somehow discovered how to remove the lightbulb from the lamp and broke it. Thankfully, no one got cut, but if I didn't hear the shatter in their room, it could have been worse.
And yes, this happened when they are suppose to be taking a nap... of course...
Also, during their naptime, they discovered the blinds and completely destroyed them. I pulled them up and tied the string up, but they pulled them down somehow.
I really don't know how they do a lot of the crap they do.
This week was a bad week. They opened their dresser drawer and completely snapped it in half. I don't know if they were jumping in it or what... it drives me crazy how disrespectful they are to everything ... but I realize they don't understand and just think its fun. I think of my mom and mother in law A LOT... wondering how they handled raising their boys.
We ended up moving the changing table upstairs and the dresser into their closet. Their bedroom is becoming bare.
We had to put a rope on the handles of the closet and tie the doors shut during their naptime because of this disaster they made when Tyson was watching them one day. Tyson wasn't aware of what they were capable of during naptime in their room, so I forgive him :) But I know to check on those boys every 10 minutes until they finally fall asleep :)
The same day, Tyson went in to check on the boys (still during their nap time) and Trevor had blood all over his face and shirt. He had no idea what happened. We think it came from his nose. Trevor gets a bloody nose easily if he gets bonked in the nose.
Best of Friends and Best of Enemies! These boys love to fight!
Just as Trevor came out of the biting phase, Triston started biting Trevor.
They know how fast they get results when they bite, so I'm sure its their first reaction when they want something 'right now'.
Here's Trevor's arm, which shows a bite mark from Triston
And of course we have more pictures of the boys making MOM crazy and getting into trouble:
I've been trying to watch Super Nanny to get some ideas on how to control my kids and here's her time out steps:
I went to a consignment sale and got them two outdoor toys to play with. They love them and are doing well at sharing them (I'm crossing my fingers cause they always have to have the same exact thing otherwise they fight over each others.)
I love that the weather is getting so nice. The kids love to 'hang out' in the back of dad's truck, BUT they also like to climb onto the very top, which drives Dad crazy cause its so scary
OK, so this is gross, but ever since January, Taylor has become aggressively picky with her food. I tried to feed her this sandwich and she FREAKED out after taking a small bite of this sandwich because it had lettuce in it (which never seemed to bother her much before). She didn't even chew it, but immediately started gagging. I took the lettuce part out, but it didn't matter... it was over and she couldn't control it. So, YIP! She threw up her gold fish that she had just eatin minutes before. She is killing me and we are going to talk to her Doctor at her 4 yr old check up appointment. Grandpa Jon supposidly was a really picky eater and only ate bologna sandwiches when he was young and he turned out alright, so I know I shouldn't worry so much, but it does concern me. Taylor will take her green (vegetable supplement) vitamin and SOMETIMES the cherry red gummy bear vitamins, but that's all I can get her to take for supplements.
Taylor had a luau party at school. She loves school and they are so great! She goes 3 days a week from 9am-12noon at Middletown Christian private school. It gives her things to look forward to and they do crafts and exciting games while learning different things such as "days of the week, weather, seasons, colors, shapes, letters, numbers 1-20, and recently how to write and spell her name. She's a smart cookie and very focused. She does very well in school. I'm a proud momma!
Taylors favorite book is "Pinkalicious" Its a cute book and especially for this junk food girl! :)
Taylors favorite babysitter is Emma Engilman. EVERYTIME we come home, she has done awesome crafts with Taylor. She engages Taylor instead of just throwing her infront of the TV and playing with the twins. I don't care if my babysitters clean up or wash my dishes. I just want them playing and engaging my kids in activity. Taylor just LOVES her. Here is a picture of her. She's young, only 13 yrs old but GREAT!!!
So, we put Taylor in a soccer league with her friend Reagan Mills, and the first game, Taylor scored a goal! She does great and I hope she continues to like it. She enjoys gymnastics much more, but we'll see...
The boys only watch TV in the car. They LOVE going on car rides. We go on at least 1-2 car rides a day. It is my life saver! Even if we're not going somewhere to take Taylor to school, gymnastics, etc... we'll go on a drive mid morning or early evening when they are cranky and just need to get out of the house. It's funny that they only watch TV when they are buckled securely in their seat, where they can't move :)
Speaking of, one day I went to a ladies house in our ward and brought her cookies. We got talking and when I came back to the car, Triston was in the driver seat of the car, turned the car off, holding the keys. It FREAKED me out! I could not believe he squeezed himself out of the seatbelt. Now, I have the seatbelt on so tight he can barely breathe :) He's a little stinker to say the least.
Have I said how scared I am for the future with my boys?! Well, I surely am. Just like my mother-in-law... I'm praying that I can keep my boys the following year cause I know they are so crazy they could have a horrible accident and I could lose one of those boys any day. I'm just praying that Heavenly Father will let me keep them till their teenagers :) Ha ha
Okay, so I know this is horrible, but I had to take a picture of the boys giving each other 'loves' after fighting and saying sorry. It won't last, so I had to get a picture of it. Its too cute :)
Triston (above) and Trevor (below)
Everyone we come across say that our twins are identical. Some day (hopefully soon) we will have them tested. I wouldn't think it would be hard, but I have no idea. I'm going to start looking into it cause I'm sick of people saying, "Their identical, aren't they."
The boys this month has really started saying "prayers" before they eat. EVERY TIME we sit down to eat, whether its breakfast, lunch or dinner... they remind me to pray. Usually they want to pray and as soon as I start saying prayer, they reach for their food and start eating.
Here are some random picture of the kiddo's:
I caught Trevor stuffing his face into a plate of scrambled eggs one morning
Speaking of eggs, Taylor's recent favorite thing to eat for breakfast is 'runny' eggs. Daddy introduced over-easy eggs to her with toast and she loves them! I'm glad cause she eats 3 every morning and it gives her good nutrition.
Tyson turned 32 this year on the 31st. It was low-key. I took Tyson out to a sushi place and that was fun. We just really enjoy any time we can be alone together, since its not much. In the evening a good friend was getting re-baptized, so we went to that baptism which was spiritual and uplifting.
The night before Tyson's birthday, I made his favorite CARROT CAKE, and Taylor couldn't wait to dig in! First thing in the morning... Taylor was dying to light the candles and sing Happy Birthday to Daddy, so we pretty much had carrot cake for breakfast. :) Taylor decided she didn't like carrot cake after all. Personally, I thought it was the best carrot cake I'd ever tasted :) Delicious! :)
Make a wish...
blowing out 32 candles (with some help from Taylor)
Trevor helping Daddy lick the frosting off the ends of the candles.
Triston enjoyed some cake for breakfast :)
