You Are Aurora! (A.K.A. Sleeping Beauty.)

Thoughtful and loving. Authority figures probably have been sheltering you all of your life. Thankfully you're a very tranquil person who is content with what life has given you, but secretly you want to know how the outside world works.

Which Disney Princess Are You?

2 Month Shots

On thursday, June 26th, Taylor got her 2 month shots! We had just gotten back in town and were past 2 months and had to get in soon. Kim Courtright had told me that she cried when her daughter got them done and so to be prepared...it is really sad. So, I told Tyson that I couldn't be in the room and watch it happen. I went outside the door and around the corner. I heard her crying out and it absolutely killed me. I still bawled. Kim told me to nurse her afterwards to comfort her. So, I went back in and Tyson had Taylor clenched in his arms and wouldn't let go of her. He said, "I had to be in the room to see that, so I am comforting her" :) Also, he said "There is no way I am going to ever do that again." It broke his heart to see her face in so much pain 4 times, that she couldn't even breathe. She slept a whole lot the rest of the day and we just kept giving her small amounts of Tylenol every 4 hours. She's doing well, but she doesn't like it when we rub the shots. :)

We're Home!

WOW! It seems like forever since we've been gone! I flew home with Taylor and poor Tyson had to drive across country by himself :) When I got home, there were roses on the counter from Tyson. He is such a cutie! Thanks for the surprise! He got home a day after me safely and we are now trying to get settled in and unpack...LOTS TO DO!
We had such a blast, and I think we are going to be a little bored with just the three of us. Back at home, there was ALWAYS a house full and always someone wanting to hold Taylor, so I hope she does okay. I bought a swing...so hopefully that will be a life savor.
Thanks to Jeff and Mandi, our grass is still green and cut. Also, the Mortenson's helped get our mail and keep an eye on our house. You guys are the best.
We miss our families ALREADY! But are so excited to get settled in and establish some goals to lose weight, get Taylor on a schedule and get caught up around the house :)

We also found these guys nesting on the side of our house. They must have made themselves at home since we were gone.

Tribute To Jessica

She just about fits into her cute little sunday dress now!
Jessica Mortenson bought this cute little dress for Taylor and we took her to church in it, here in Utah. She was darling. I'm sure you'll see her in it again. Taylor loves it :)
Thanks Jess!

Father's Day Gift

Tyson's Father's Day Gift to his dad.

Tyson and Wade spent countless hours mounting this deer for his dad. His dad had these antlers since 1974 and never had them mounted, so Tyson surprised his dad and got a Taxidermy video and watched it about 5 times over and bought the stuff he needed and went to work making this deer. Tyson's brother-in-law, Wade, has a shop that he uses for all his wood (making furniture, etc...) so they spent hours up there till 2 in the morning working on this deer. It is absolutely beautiful. Tyson has so many talents, but I just hope he doesn't take up Taxidermy now. He says he is going to mount all his deer that he gets...so I guess I won't see him all year round now. He will be hunting all Fall season and then doing taxidermy all Spring and Summer for the animals he's shot. What did I get myself into :)

Gubler Family Reunion

We went up to Aspen Grove in Utah, just up Provo Canyon, for our Family Reunion. We did this about 5 years ago and it was the best time I'd ever had! I love this place. There is so much to do and it is so beautiful. We made pottery (Tyson is amazing at it!), played shuffleboard, ping-pong, archery, swam in the pool, played horseshoes, went on hikes, ate lots of icecream and played family games out on the big field. It was a blast! Tyson won 4 awards for winning ping pong mens singles, ping pong mixed doubles, horseshoes mens doubles, and archery (of course). I can't wait to go back sometime.

My mom had Gubler Family shirts made for all of us

Taylor scratched herself on her nose really bad :(

We tried really hard to keep Taylor out of the sun, but somehow she got a little sunburn under her eyes and on her nose :(

Sad Face :(

Tyson really is a natural at Pottery....however he did take a class on it, so he's had practice!

Bye Bye

Taylor's Blessing/Father's Day

On June 15th, We blessed Taylor up at Tyson's family's property. It was a gorgeous day. My whole family was at Aspen Grove for our Family Reunion, and we decided to come down for the blessing and celebrate it with Tyson's family also. It was such a special day being Father's day and being together with both sides of the family. We had food afterwards and hung out talking and the kids ran around. Everyone had to hold Taylor, of course. She looked so beautiful, but was ready to get out of her dress... as you can see in the picture with my mother. :)
Tyson said that the blessing was so wonderful because as soon as he closed the blessing, he opened his eyes and she was just staring right up at him. It was a real special moment for him, he says. He was soooo nervous, but it was absolutely beautiful. My mom was so wonderful to take some time and right down as much as she could remember from the blessing so we could have some record for her. Thanks mom!
This is a day to remember forever! It was so special.
