Happy 28th Birthday, TYSON!!!

Tyson is so sad that he is getting so "old".  He can't believe that he is 28 already and just now having his first kid.  Well, I hope he had a great birthday.  I made him breakfast this morning (Eggs, Wheat pancakes, toast and OJ).  He went this afternoon and had a BLAST playing soccer with some friends and got all muddy from the rain.  However, he did puke up his breakfast,  because he says he was so out of shape and can't play soccer like he use to in High School.  Tonight, he opened presents and had a huge surprise... he got his Call of Duty 4, XBOX 360 game he wanted so badly.  I took him to Shogun's for dinner.  It is a Japanese Steakhouse.  It was fun and enjoyable.  Ironically, the family sitting to the left of us was one of Tyson's clinical professors at the dental school and the family to the right of us were dental hygiene patients I have cleaned at Mortenson Family Dental.  We came home that night and just played a little Halo online together.  He got a lot of phone calls from friends and family that just totally made his day :)

5 things I love about my husband:

1-He is so heartfelt!

2-He is very spiritual, and helps me be a better person.

3-He is going to be a FANTASTIC dentist!  He naturally has great clinical skills.  I am lucky he will be my dentist working on me!  

4-He is so amazing with kids!  He truly will be an AMAZING father!  I'm just sad that I will have to be the mean one :)

5-He is so easy to love and is so personable.

Finishing the Babies Room

Tyson is on Spring Break this week!  Woohoo!  So, we are trying to finish up all the rest of the baby stuff up before she gets here.  I am so proud of my hubby.  He is so great and knows how to do everything!  Thanks to his dad who taught him... he is such a handyman around the house ...when he wants to be :)

2 Weeks TO GO!

Baby's head is down, but I am not dilated any (1 cm is all).  I have a feeling she will be coming after my due date.  Here are the 38 week pregnancy pictures...

This is the stupid stroller we are still waiting to order.  It is out of stock EVERYWHERE!  However I did find it at USABaby, but they are selling the floor sample for the same price as it is online.  I'd rather wait and get a new one for the same price.  I just might have to take Lisa up on her offer...and borrow her old car seat for a week or two, that her one year old used.  The stroller will be available in about 1 week...so hopefully it all works out.

Baby Hair Bows

Anyone know how to make these nylon hairbands that you can clip any bow onto?  I've seen them around and Brook and I want to make them.  I know they can't be too hard to make.

Baby Shower

Jessica Mortenson put on a baby shower for me, but as you may know...it had to be rescheduled because of the horrible snow storm we had here.  So, we rescheduled it and actually combined it with Brittany Neals baby shower on Sat, March 22.  She had her baby a few weeks ago, so she looks absolutely FANTASTIC!...so no comparing people :)  Well, it was at my sister-in-laws house, Mandi Perrero's.  She has a huge front room and a lot of space.  It was a blast!  Thank you to everyone who came and helped out!  And thanks to Heidi for the pictures!

With just 3 weeks left...I am getting closer to being ready for baby Taylor to come now!  HOWEVER, I don't even have my stroller yet because it is out of stock and I have to order it at the end of this month. Sherstine Mortensen and Michelle Hawkes went in together and got me this AWESOME running stroller.  It was so nice of them!  I am so excited.  If this baby comes before my travel stroller does, then I might be calling someone to borrow a car seat to bring her home in :)  J/K

Last Day of Work

I am officially on maternity leave!  I could have stuck it out another week or two, but my fingers were so arthritic in the morning and it was getting difficult for me to close my fingers together... which obviously posed a dilemma for cleaning teeth.  On my last day of work, I came home and I was like...oh my gosh!  Look at my cankles, Tyson!  He was laughing because he hadn't ever seen them that bad before.  He imprinted his finger into my ankle and the skin didn't even bounce back!  It was so sad!  I was full of edema!  Aww...the fun stuff of pregnancy!

I will surely miss working with my coworkers and Doctor!

NAUVOO HELP

My oldest brother's family of 7 is coming out here in July and we are going to go with them to the Nauvoo pageant.  I am in charge of reserving a hotel and I need help!  Anyone been to Nauvoo and stayed in a decent priced hotel?  I don't think it needs to be close to the pageant because we will have a car.  Thanks for any input!

BELIZE Dental Mission Trip (March 7-14)

Tyson went to Belize for a week with about 30 Dental Students at UofL and had a blast. He did this last year and absolutely loved it. Here are some pictures from his trip.

His favorite part is being with all the kids.

They went to the local zoo and even pet this little cub's paw!

The boys were being boys! They all held hands and one of them touched the electric gate :) They just wanted to get charged up for the day!
