BOWS!!!

I just bought some bows from my friend, Michelle!
She has the cutest bows and a huge variety! Here are just a few I got:

She does clips and nylon headbands from sizes x-small to x-large

She also does bracelets. This one is the pink princess:

Here is Taylor sportin' one of her new bows :)

Her website is 'under construction', but check her out HERE!

Mini marathon

THAT WAS BRUTAL!!!!
I can't believe I made it through that race! I about died!
I didn't make my goal, but I have to admit, I AM TOTALLY HAPPY with my results. I DID THE BEST THAT I COULD! The sun was beating down on me and I was so hot! I felt like I was dying of thirst the last 5 miles. I flew through the first 6 miles, and even through Iriquois Park's hills, but as soon as I hit mile 6, I hit a wall. I thought...oh my gosh, I am not even half way done. When I hit shade, it was like a boost of energy came back on me. It was amazing how much that sun had an effect on me.
MY RESULTS: 2:08:22

Mandi and baby Braelyn came to see me cross the finishline with my mother-in-law, Glenys, and little Taylor. It was so nice to have that support.

Here is Glenys with Taylor on her shoulders looking for me at the finish line.

I was TOTALLY EXHAUSTED AFTER THE RACE!
I can't even tell you how great I feel to know that I accomplished that!
I truly never thought I would ever run a mini marathon, especially knowing that I am not much of a runner! The only thing that got me through it was my PRIDE and DETERMINATION!

Happy Easter!

The Easter Bunny showed up at our house!
What's in there?
She found a fluffy Easter Bunny from Gma G and a walking egg in her basket.
Taylor wanted Daddy to read her a book before we went off to church.
This is Taylor 'universal sign' for anything that has to do with food.  I don't know where it came from.  She does it for "more", "milk", and any snack or food she sees and wants.

Princess B-day Party

Taylor's 1st Birthday Party

We invited Taylor's friends over to share with her this BIG day!

And then it was time to ENDULGE in her very own "icecream cone" (cupcake and frosting)

And then everyone else got their own ice cream cone cupcake
It was really fun making these

I had wanted to try to make Taylor a princess cake from Betty Crocker's website, but it was way too big for Taylor to have by herself. Tyson made it while I did the ice cream cones.  He did such a great job!

But we let Taylor dig into it anyways, since we already had too much cake from the ice cream cones.  Taylor just picked at it.  She was more interested in the skittles on the frosting.
Then we broke out her birthday present!
I couldn't wait for her to ride on this Barbie 4-wheeler!  I bought it last year on black friday specifically for her 1st birthday.  It was worth it!
I was surprised that it didn't take her very long to get the hang of it.  She pushed the button for it to go all by herself.  Taylor just needs to master the steering :)
And of course we let her friends enjoy riding it too.
However, she was not use to sharing :)
So they teamed up
Kira wasn't so happy about Taylor riding with her :)

They were so cute riding around.
It was a blast.

I guess you can say Taylor is officially SPOILED!

We were pleasantly surprised when Jeff and Mandi showed up with their 1-week old baby girl, Braelyn.  She is darling and looks so much like her dad.  Taylor was especially happy to see Mandi.  She loves Mandi.
CHECK OUT THIS CUTE VIDEO OF TAYLOR ON HER 4-wheeler:

My first race!

I ran the Papa John's 10-miler this morning
My Time was: 1:34:05
I'm not a runner and it certainly sucked running; but looking back, it was a ton of fun!
Those hills were tough through Iriquois Park, and it was FREEZING cold with that wind blowing.
The worst part of it all was that the WHOLE time I was running, I was being passed up... I just kept thinking, "I am so freakin slow!" However, it helped push me.
It was such a satisfying accomplishment...now I'm addicted.
Next up: the Derby mini marathon in 2 weeks! Wish me luck!
