KMART SCORE!!!

I've never shopped anywhere that doubled their coupons up to $2, so I was in heaven at Kmart this week. I was sad that a lot of things that were HUGE sales were out, but I still got TONS of great deals!!!
The prices were higher than normal, but with doubling coupons, there were tons of things for 70cents or less and even free. Here is what I got:

Before coupons my bill came to $116.57 (Outrageous, huh?!) You can see how the prices were super high for everything because it would have never come out that high at Walmart.
After coupons, I spent $21.72!!! (and I only have one $2 rebate to send in...)
So after my one rebate, all of this cost me $19.72!!! SCORE! I was so excited, but drained too.
It was such a hassle and so difficult trying to find the deals and then disappointing when you realize they are out of something that you have a great coupon for and could get for free!

HELP! I need advice!

My little '2-hour, 2x/day-napper' turned into a monster these last 2 weeks! She won't take a nap without crying nonstop (even if she is fast asleep in my arms before I put her down). And her naps only last 30 minutes. She probably is teething, but who knows. Tylenol helps a little, but I don't want to give it to her every time. Besides lowering the mattress pad in her crib, what are some tips that I need to stick to with her NAPPING and CONSTANT WHINING? I want a good sleeping baby, because I know how important it is for them, and so I don't want to create any bad habits for later.


Taylor is 6, 1/2 months old...and I am not READY for all these sudden changes!

Better than Sex Chicken?

I tried a new recipe last night and Tyson was in HEAVEN!
I asked Tyson if this Chicken Recipe was better than SEX, and he said it was pretty close, since he hadn't been getting much lately to really compare.
What a stinker! I guess I have some competition.

SUPER COUPON DEAL at Kmart!

This week Max makeup is 'Buy one, get one Free' at Kmart!

Use the coupons buy one get one Max Factor Lip products from 9/7 Red Plum insert and/or Buy one get one free Max Factor Face Products from 10/19 Red Plum insert and you get the two lip products or two face products for FREE (+ tax).

I get two copies of the newspapers on sunday and so I had 4 coupons:
2 B1G1 Free MAX face product
and
2 B1G1 Free MAX lip product
So, I got 8 products all for the price of TAX!
Each item was $8.99-$10.99 originally
YEAH! I SCORED!
Total tax for all 8 products:
$2.40 (about 30 cents each)
The lip product would be a great Christmas idea for my sister-in-laws.

Why don't I learn that this little girl is too wiggly to hold still on a bed?
Well, I put her in the middle of the guest bed for 30 seconds, while I got her an outfit to change her in, and I turn around and saw the WHOLE thing happen! It was awful! It was like a bouncy ball. She was playing with a stuffed animal and rolled over to the side of the bed (next to the night stand), rolled right off the bed, hit the CORNER of the night stand and bounced onto the floor. I couldn't pick her up fast enough. The girl was crying out bloody murder! It broke my heart. Tyson says not to worry so much but that it helps them learn to be a little more careful. I don't know. I don't think they can learn that stuff quite yet.
Do they know consequences at this age?

The chip from the corner here was not there before. I don't know how her soft face could have done that! (Or maybe she hit in 2 spots and I haven't found the second one) EEEK!

Girls Night Out

I had such a blast with Girls Night Out!
We went out to a FABULOUS restaurant called Bristol Bar and Grille. The food was soooo YUMMY! Then afterwards, we headed back to my house for some GNO fun.
We chatted up a storm and played some fun games.

WE WERE DYING LAUGHING SOOOO HARD!!! IT WAS THE FUNNIEST THING EVER!!!

Then we played a Truth or Dare-like Game, called "Who, What, Where?"
We had 2 cards each and we wrote any question on them and threw them in a bowl. Each one of us picked out a question and had to answer it. Some of the questions were:

• When do you get all hot and steamy with your hubby? Morning? Night? Middle of the night? Middle of Day?
  
• Who in the room reminds you of Rosie O'Donnel?
• Where are you most ticklish?
• Was your husband a good kisser or did you have to train him?
• Who's husband likes slutty underwear?

There were plenty of other questions that I must screen and leave out :)
You can just imagine that we had some interesting conversations.

Well, there were 4 of us left that stuck it out into the weee hours of the night.

As you can see we were a little delirious at 1:00 in the morning.

Taylor's half-year birthday!

Taylor had her 6 month doctors visit today.

She is 14 lbs....just a little thing.

Some of her milestones and personality traits are:

• Sitting up with support
• Up on all 4's
• Scooting-type of Crawling
• Reaching for everything and anything
• Loves to stand up (with help of course)
  
• Jumping in her jumper
• Never likes to lay back...has to sit up to see the world
• Doesn't cuddle much
  
• Very, very active and a wiggle worm (UH OH!)
• Extremely aware of everything around her
• Bright eyes
• A people person for sure. LOVES PEOPLE!
• Laughs and smiles at anyone, except Uncle Jeff :) LOL
• Completely FULL OF LIFE!

It is October, so Taylor is sporting a halloween ghost outfit. It was given to her by Jessica! Thanks Jessica! It is too cute!

Lynn's Paradise Cafe

Brook was so awesome to take me to breakfast at Lynn's Paradise Cafe.  It is the BEST place to eat here in louisville if you ever visit.  We have babies just 2-3 weeks apart and so we chat all the time about how to raise these stinkers.  It keeps us SANE.

Mia almost swallowed a piece of a napkin she got ahold of.  Brook came to the rescue and fished it out of her mouth. I had no idea she had such a big chunk in there.

Mystery Dinner

Have you ever been to a Mystery Dinner?

Well, Tyson took me this last weekend for my birthday dinner earlier that week.  I always wanted to do this and thanks to Heidi, we got a free dinner.  She guessed the murderer when she went and won a free dinner...so THANKS!

Heidi and Matt warned us that is was a little cheesy, but we didn't realize how cheesy it really was!  Mark and Jessica watched our little girl that night and when we got back they asked us if it was worth going.  "DEFINITELY NOT!"  "So did you guys not have fun?" they asked  "Oh, no WE HAD A BLAST!"  They were a little confused.  The acting and the food was so bad, that we just had a ton of fun laughing about it.  The tickets were about $40 each, so it was a little shocking.  We certainly had higher expectations considering how expensive it was. Mark and Jessica said, "Man, you guys really must have needed a night out"  We agreed.  We're pathetic.
